High-frequency EMC desktop scanner

EMScanner: 150 kHz- 8 GHz

EMScanner is a self-contained very-near-field scanning device that connects to a spectrum analyzer or desktop PC running on a copy of EMScanner Software.

The EMScanner system operates from 159 kHz to 8GHz and delivers repeatable & reliable results that pinpoint the cause of a design failure in seconds.

EMViewer Software subscription is recommended to achieve the best results.

Product Features

Spectral scan, spatial scan, peak-hold, continuous scanning, spectral and spatial comparison, scripting, limit lines, and report generation.

Ideal PCB projects for EMScanner are boards designed for high speed, high power, and/or high density/complexity. Any PCB that places a premium on board real-estate also qualifies as an excellent candidate. The compact, flat scanner provides PCB design teams with an easy-to-use, costeffective, and proven tabletop solution. Emission, immunity, filtering, EMI shielding, broadband noise and Common Mode testing are some of the applications that the EMScanner system addresses in mere seconds.
With EMScanner design teams can personally test their designs without having to rely on another department, test engineer, or time-consuming off-site testing. After diagnosing even an intermittent problem, the engineer can implement a design change and retest, and the results provide concrete verification of the effectiveness (or not) of the design change.

EMScanner diagnostic capabilities allow design teams to reduce testing time by more than two orders of magnitude. Users have also documented fifty per cent reductions in design cycle times.

Spectrum Analyzers

Y.I.C. Technologies products are compatible with most Spectrum Analyzers.

If you do not have a Spectrum Analyzer and wish to purchase one, please get in touch with us as we have secured relationships with leading test & measurement companies to ensure competitive prices.  You are also able to purchase a Spectrum Analyzer directly from Y.I.C. Technologies. Click below to enquire further.

The instrument provides spatial and spectral scans that allow design teams to cut one to two design cycles out of their product development process. It also reduces their EMI testing time by up to two orders of magnitude.
The design team conducted the scans on the EMxpert system in their offices. In a matter of minutes, they obtained the results. Testing the design in a third party chamber would have have been weeks away
